Pamper Yourself From Head to Toes With This Two Easy Beauty Hacks

Winter is a rough season for our hair and our skin and besides the vitamins and the minerals that you obtain from a healthy and well balanced diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, there are some natural remedies that you can add into your daily routine to enhance your natural beauty.

You can probably find these ingredients in your pantry or fridge, which means that you do not need to spend a lot of money.

For your hair

Coconut oil hair mask: Apply coconut oil in your clean hair by massaging it into the scalp, then work your way down to the ends. Brush it after to get rid of knots. I recommend doing this before going to bed, that way the coconut oil can work its magic throughout the night. Cover your hair with a towel to avoid a mess in your pillow. Make sure you apply this mask on a weekend day or when you are not on a hurry because depending on your hair type you might take more than one wash to get rid of it.

How does it work? By penetrating the hair shaft, coconut oil moisturizes, repairs and protects your hair from any external damage (UV Rays and heat). It contains vitamins E and K, and fatty acids which help improve hair strength. By keeping your hair healthy, you promote its fast growth.

I used coconut oil almost every day at night and my hair grew the fastest it’s grown my whole life! Try it as many days as you can.

A lot of people also use a beaten egg in damp hair as a conditioner and to get rid of the coconut oil faster, but… I just can’t simply stand the smell of egg on my hair! And do not get me wrong, it works great!

For your skin

Honey & Sugar Body Scrub: My grandma gave me this magic recipe when I was thirteen and so far it is my favorite beauty trick. To prepare this body scrub mix 2 Tbsp. of honey and 1 Tbsp. of sugar in a bowl until you create a thick paste. Use it to exfoliate your skin from head to toe. Start with your feet and finish in your face to improve blood circulation. Have a warm bath or shower after and use a honey based butter to seal the moisture in your skin.

Why does it work so well? Because honey and sugar are natural moisturizers with antiseptic qualities. By mixing this two ingredients, you promote cell regeneration which will turn out into an ultra-soft and younger-looking skin. I recommend to use it once or twice a week.
